Alvin S. Johnson

(1874-1971) born in Homer, Dakota County. Economist, educator, author, co-founded New School of Social Research in 1919, served as associate editor (and de facto editor) of the 15-volume Encyclopedia of the Social Sciences published between 1930 and 1935.
