Hartley Burr Alexander
(1873-1939) born in Lincoln, lived in Syracuse,
Otoe County. Philosopher, anthropologist, educator, author
on symbolism of early North Americans, wrote inscriptions
for the exterior of the Nebraska State Capitol completed
