Benjamin A. Botkin
(1901-1975) lived in Lincoln. Educator, author,
editor, folklorist, credited with revolutionizing
definition of the field of folklore, edited or contributed
to 30 books, and many journals and magazines,
including first definitive work in the field titled A Treasury
of American Folklore (Crown, 1944).
