Clayton C. Anderson

(1959- ) born in Omaha, lived at Ashland and Hastings. Aerospace engineer, manager, astronaut in training, during his employment at NASA Johnson Space Center since 1983, be has performed trajectory designs for early Space Shuttle and Space Station missions, became flight design manager for the Galileo planetary mission, then supervisor and chief of flight design branch, followed by manager of emergency operations center; since 1998 he has been astronaut in training, serving as space station capsule communicator and on technical projects until assignment to a space flight.
