Christopher Lasch
(1932-1994) born in Omaha. Educator, historian, and social
critic, considered by some as the most important American social
critic of the late 20th century, published books and numerous
articles and book review essays, exposed the modern American
culture of consumerism and narcissism, and criticized self-indulgent
