James Coburn
(1928-2002) born at Laurel,
Cedar County. Actor, appeared in nearly 80 films and twice
that
amount in television productions, one of the most versatile
lead actors of his time, recipient of Academy Award
for best supporting actor in 1998 film Affliction; his
star was placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
