John G. Cook
(1956- ) lives in Lincoln. Educator, coach, his women’s
volleyball team at the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln won NCAA Division I national championship
in 2000, played in semi-final in 2001 and
final in 2005, was assistant coach of U.S. men’s volleyball
team that earned bronze medal at 1992 Olympics,
his women’s volleyball team at University of Wisconsin
qualified for five NCAA tournaments; in 13 seasons,
his teams have a record of 348 wins and 86 losses. Consult
