Frank W. Cyr
(1900-1995) born near Franklin, Franklin County. Educator,
administrator, originator of safety standards and yellow color
for school buses in 1939, an authority on rural education,
an early advocate of creating national standards for curricula
while keeping the authority to teach them at the local level,
is known as "father
