Robert B. Daugherty

(1922- ) born in Omaha. Business executive, co-founder of Valmont Industries in 1954, serving as CEO when the firm became the world’s first and largest supplier of center pivot irrigation systems and a major supplier of utility poles with plants in several states and foreign countries; annual sales exceeded $800 million in year 2000 for its irrigation and infrastructure operations.
