Eugene C. Eppley
(1884-1958) lived in Omaha. Hotel executive, philanthropist,
known as the largest individual hotel operator in the world,
owning more than 20 hotels between 1915 and 1956; established
a foundation which provided grants totaling some $36 million
to over 50 charitable, civic, educational, and medical institutions
and organizations; airport and cancer center in Omaha named after
