Ernest K. Gann
(1910-1991) born in Lincoln. Pilot, painter, author
of adventure novels and short stories, a dozen of his best-known
books were made into movies, including "The High and The
Mighty" and "Soldier of Fortune" and "Masada",
the latter an ABC-TV series based on "The Antagonists";
