James B. Hickok
(1837-1876) lived near Fairbury, Jefferson County.
Law enforcement officer, was involved in killings at Rock Creek
Station in 1861, resulting in fame as the legendary Wild Bill
Hickok, served in the Civil War, held positions as Western
lawman, performed for two years in Buffalo Bill's Wild West
