Clara Herling Huhn

(1887-2000) born near Clarkson, lived near Schuyler. Homemaker and supercentenarian, validated as one of the top 55 oldest persons in the world and as Nebraska’s longest-lived native at age 113 years and 326 days, she remained active, healthy, and independent until the final few months of her life, and granted a newspaper interview within weeks of her 113th birthday; complete list of validated supercentenarians by Gerontology Research Group may be viewed on its website at www.grg.org.
