Paul A. Johnsgard
(1931- ) lives in Lincoln. Biologist, educator,
author, considered a leading ornithologist, having written
about more than 800 bird species, published 40 books during
his tenure at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since
1961, which includes field work in Australia, Europe, and
North and South America; recipient of several awards and
