Kay Stark Orr
(1939- ) lives in Lincoln. Politician, first female
governor of Nebraska and the first elected Republican woman
governor in American history, became in 1984 the first
person, male or female, other than a member of Congress
or a state's governor to serve as co-chair of the Republican
National Convention's Platform Committee. Consult Contemporary
