Trudy Lieberman
(1946- ) born in Scottsbluff, lived in Lincoln. Journalist,
editor, was first consumer reporter at Detroit Free Press and
one of the first consumer writers in the nation, became writer
and health policy editor for Consumer Reports, specializing in
health care issues for the elderly, author or co-author of five
books; received National Magazine Awards in 1987 and 1990, won
National Press Club consumer journalism award six times, and
accorded awards and honors by several other organizations. Consult
