Myra Cohn Livingston
(1926-1996) born in Omaha. Poet, anthologist, teacher,
wrote or edited more than 80 books of poetry and other literature
for children, authored book reviews and articles for magazines
and the New York Times, poet-in-residence for 22 years at Beverly
Hills Unified School District in California, recipient of more
than a dozen national awards, considered an authority on children's
