Harold C. Lloyd
(1893-1971) born at Burchard, Pawnee County. Actor,
one of great silent film comedians in 1920s, appeared in
over 200 films during his career, owned a mansion called
Greenacres, appeared on cover of Time, July 25, 1949 and
October 15, 1990, recipient of Honorary Academy Award in
1952 for lifetime achievement and good citizenship. Consult
