George W. Lundeen
(1948- ) born at Holdrege, lived at Hastings. Sculptor, educator,
known nationally as a sculptor of realistic figures, he has produced
during a 30-year career up to 10,000 creations, both small and
large, which can be found in limited editions in private and
public collections worldwide and in most states of our nation,
with such notable life-size public placements as Robert Frost
at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, Jack Swigert at the Capitol
Building in Washington, DC, and Gene Sarazen at Atlanta National
Golf Club; recipient of almost 20 honors and awards, including
election to National Academy of Design in 1994. Consult Sunday
