Darrell Mudra

(1929- ) born at Omaha, lived at Peru, Nemaha County. Educator, football coach, achieved as college and professional head coach 297 wins, 88 losses, and 4 ties, won NCAA Division II national championship at North Dakota State in 1965 and at Eastern Illinois in 1980; elected to College Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
