James C. Olson
(1917- 2005) lived in Lincoln. Educator, historian, administrator,
college president, served as
chancellor and president with the University of Missouri four-campus
system from 1968 to 1984, author or
co-author of nearly ten books and contributor to history journals,
encyclopedias, and newspapers; previously
served as director of Nebraska State Historical Society for ten
years and as an academic administrator at the
