Donald F. Othmer

(1904-1995) born in Omaha. Chemical engineer, educator, author, philanthropist, published more than 350 articles and held more than 150 patents, was co-author of Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology, which is considered the best reference for the field of chemical engineering, recipient of the Society of Chemical Industry’s Perkin Medal and several others.
