(1860-1948) lived in Lincoln. U.S. Army General, commander of the American Expeditionary Force in World War I, received 1932 Pulitzer Prize in history, appeared on cover of Time, August 11, 1924 and November 15, 1943, appeared on cover of Newsweek, March 7, 1938.
