Elmo Roper Jr.

(1900-1971) born in Hebron, Thayer County. Marketing consultant, public opinion analyst, one of the first to create the modern scientific opinion poll in the mid-1930s, published a semi-weekly column on people's thinking in a newspaper syndicate, authored several magazine articles.
