Karl Jay Shapiro
(1913-2000) lived in Lincoln. Poet, educator,
recipient of 1945 Pulitzer Prize in poetry, known for producing
some of the best war poetry ever by an American, edited
literary magazine Prairie Schooner. Consult Dictionary
