Curtis C. Shears
(1901-1988) born at Omaha. Lawyer, social reformer,
won bronze medal as member of the fencing team epee event at
the 1932 Olympics, was trial attorney with Federal Trade Commission
and also the Anti-Trust Division of the U.S. Department of
Justice, was instrumental from 1949 to 1964 in organizing "Big
Brother" chapters in Washington, DC, Sacramento, and Hawaii;
graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1922, but did not
