Juliene Brazinski Simpson
(1953- ) lived in Wahoo. Athlete, college women's
basketball coach, was cocaptain
of United States women's basketball team that won silver medal
at 1976 Olympics, has served as head
coach of women's basketball at seven colleges for 26 years,
and in the year 2000 was inducted into Women's
Basketball Hall of Fame based in Knoxville, Tennessee; while
playing basketball at John F. Kennedy College
from 1970 to 1974, she earned AAU All-America honors each of
the four years, and helped her team win two
