Scott P. Johnson
(1961- ) lived in Lincoln. Athlete, won team gold
medal in gymnastics for the United States at 1984 Olympics,
the only time in Olympic history that the U.S. men have
claimed the team gold medal; while at the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln, he was a 1983 NCAA national champion
in floor exercise, parallel bars and horizontal bar, and
an 11-time NCAA All-American. Consult New York Times, July
