Glenn E. Wallichs
(1910-1971) born in Grand Island,
lived in Omaha. Owned largest music record store in nation
in Los Angeles in 1940, co-founded with singer Johnny Mercer
and executive Buddy DeSylva the recording giant of Capitol
Records in 1942, a firm responsible for releasing top singers'
