Edward W. Washburn

(1881-1934) born in Beatrice, Gage County. Chemist, educator, compiled the International Critical Tables of Numerical Data of Physics, Chemistry and Technology (1926), became chief chemist of the National Bureau of Standards, elected to National Academy of Sciences.
